| Abstract | :  Primary carnitine deficiency (PCD) is a rare but potentially life-threatening genetic disorder if left untreated. Although some patients remain asymptomatic lifelong, a few patients present with hepatic encephalopathy, hypoglycemia, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmia, and even sudden death. |
